Pistol shooting at Clairton is varied for the
interests of many types of shooters. There is a covered outdoor range
with target boards at 7, 10, and 25 yards. .22 Caliber rim fire rifles
are the only long guns permitted on this range. This facility is
available to members daily after 9:00 AM . There is a practical
shooting range with four bays. Practical shooting practice is held
Tuesday evenings from
the
beginning of Daylight Savings Time until the end of September. CSC
sponsors an IPSC shoot the third Sunday of each month year round.
These shoots begin at 9:00AM. The practical pistol range is available
only when supervised by a designated range officer. Our 100 yard range
is open Sunday mornings. At this range, the targets are 10" X 6" steel
plates. Any non bottle necked pistol caliber is permitted. Also
shooters may elect scoped or open sight classes. Non league shooters are
welcome to come and shoot practice.
